Why wine covers are specified differently
A wine list turns over more frequently than a food menu — vintages sell through, allocations change, pricing moves. The cover has to hold that turnover without looking tired, which makes the insert mechanism the first decision, not the last.
Leather also behaves differently to printed board: handled daily, it develops patina rather than wearing out, and a spill-resistant finish keeps the guest-facing surface presentable between services.
