Mazin Enterprises (Pty) Ltd is a corporate social responsibility (CSI) programme, established with the generous support of enterprise development funding from Wahl Clipper South Africa. This partnership is further enhanced by the provision of learnerships hosted by Vermont Leathercraft Manufacturers, creating a well-rounded framework for skills development,

Together we believe that a unique blend of practical skills and theoretical knowledge will empower learners to take charge of their lives. Enabling them to support themselves and their families. Fostering a sense of self-reliance and confidence, we aim to break the cycle of unemployment and poverty that young school leavers often face.

Furthermore, the revenue generated from the sales of the products created by our learners is reinvested back into the business. The reinvestment of funds facilitates ongoing design and product development initiatives. The goal is to establish a sustainable business model that supports ongoing training and development and contributes positively towards the local economy.

Vermont’s partnership with Mazin Provides –

  • Design and pattern making
  • Skill training
  • Access to corporate and hospitality gifting
  • Subsidised manufacturing equipment, space rental, electricity and water

At the heart of this project is our commitment to empowering shortlisted school leavers by equipping them with essential handcraft and basic sewing skills. Recognizing the importance of practical experience.  The Mazim program also immerses learners in the production processes typically found within a factory environment with a hands-on approach that enhances their technical abilities, preparing them for the realities of the work environment.

In addition to the practical skills training, the formal education component of our program is designed to provide learners with a foundation in basic business administration. This includes essential topics such as financial literacy, marketing strategies, and the principles of entrepreneurship. Mazin aims to instill a sense of personal initiative and innovation in thinking for our learners, encouraging them to take charge of their future career paths.
